TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is a global home moving and storage service. Whether you're moving across town, or across the country, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK can help you along every step of the process. Troy Spoelma of Verken was contracted by Next Creative Co. out of Holland, MI to help concept, shoot, and produce three different spots that would speak to each of TMAAT's main offerings of home moving, junk removal, and temporary storage. One of their main messages is The Grandma Rule. The Grandma Rule states that "We will treat you and your belongings like we treat our own grandmas. We took that rule at face value and wanted to imagine a world where TMAAT were moving grandmas like they would move your belongings.

Tim Hackney, creative director and partner of Next Creative Co. wrote the scripts for all three spots, and it was now up to us to bring those ideas to life. We drew up the initial storyboard frames, then handed them over to Poison Pencil out of Chicago to polish them up. Scout locations, meetings with the G&E team, set designers, wardrobers, and many other preproduction details later, we were finally ready to shoot. Verken was tasked with providing camera equipment, running camera, and the cinematography.

Three days on set, one day for each location, we were able to perfectly execute what we set out to do. Scott Tanis from NCC cut together the spots while we were in charge of color and designing the vertical ad formats.

Once completed, the commercials were a hit. We created 3 witty spots that helped increase brand awareness, defined their main service offerings, and comedically illustrated the grandma rule.
